How to apply

The General Studies Degree Program is open to eligible high school graduates or individuals with a General Educational Development (GED) certificate. In general, the admission procedures require that students submit an application form, a transcript of previously earned college credits, a copy of their high school transcript, and an application fee (if none has been previously submitted to Indiana University). Each transcript must be an official copy placed in a sealed envelope and addressed to the General Studies Degree Program by the school issuing the transcript.

Assistance is available to those who desire help in completing application materials.

Applications are processed year-round. It typically takes 4-6 weeks from the time applications are received for them to be approved. Students should also be aware of financial aid deadlines.
